Dr. Amit B. Jain is a Senior Consultant, Vitreo-Retina, Uvea and ROP speciality. He completed his post graduation in Ophthalmology from the prestigious Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi. Subsequently, he underwent long term clinical fellowship in Vitreoretina at the renowned Sankara Netralaya, Chennai and Kolkata. He later joined Shri Ganapati Netralaya, Jalna, a tertiary eye hospital in Maharashtra as an Associate Consultant in the department of Vitreoretina and Uvea services. Currently he is visiting consultant at Fortis Eye Hospital, Mulund He is an expert in the latest vitreo-retinal surgical techniques and keeps himself updated with recent developments in the field of surgical vitreoretina. His key interest include ocular trauma, non drainage scleral buckling, complex diabetic vitrectomies, macular hole surgeries, vitrectomy for retinal detachment etc. He is also an expert in management of medical retinal disorders and Uveitis and his special interest includes ARMD, Diabetic Retinopathy, Vascular occlusions, CNVM etc He has deep interest in academics and has been regularly teaching in-house budding ophthalmologists and vitreoretina fellows. He has published various papers in national and international peer-reviewed journals and has presented many scientific papers, posters at various national ophthalmology conferences.
